Policy on the protection of personal information

PRINCIPLES OF PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA OF AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL CZECH REPUBLIC, Z.S.

I. Personal Data Manager

The administrator and the processor of personal data is Amnesty International Czech Republic, Inc., registered ID 447 93 430, recorded at the Municipal Court in Prague under the sp. L 2658 (hereinafter referred to as "Amnesty International" or "AI").

Personal information is any information regarding the designated or identifiable data subject. A data subject is considered to be a specific or identifiable entity if the data subject is directly or indirectly identifiable, in particular, on the basis of a number, code or one or more elements specific to his / her physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity. The data subject means a natural person to whom personal data are related and who is a supporter of AI, that is, a person who, by any means and by his own will, participates in AI's activities or supports AI.

II. Scope of processing personal data

Amnesty International processes personal data to the following extent: a) Identification data: given name, surname b) contact details: address of permanent or temporary residence, delivery or other contact address, e-mail address, telephone c) (hereinafter referred to as "Personal Information") In addition to the above personal data, Amnesty International records and stores so-called behavioral data about supporters. The behavioral data collection is based on, attending AI events, opening emails sent by AI, monitoring payments, online petitions signing and other online and offline activities (" other data "). AI may further legally link these data with public personal information listed about the data subject in publicly available sources.

III. Collection and processing of personal data

Amnesty International carries out the processing of personal data in accordance with valid legal regulations, in particular with Act No. 101/2000 Coll., On the Protection of Personal Data, as amended (hereinafter referred to as "ZOOU").

Data subject may be requested to provide personal information during his or her first voluntary contact with IA, especially when signing online and offline petitions, partaking in Marathon writing letters, signing letters on the streets, sending financial support, and etc. (hereinafter referred to as "first contact with AI").

Amnesty International is authorized to collect, process and track personal data and other information from data subject.

Amnesty International is the one that processes personal data and other information from data subject. Only on the basis of a contract and under the legal conditions may personal data and other information related to data subject be handed over to another trustee for processing. Amnesty International can further share personal data and other information with other Amnesty International locations around the world, as well as Amnesty International's international secretariat based in London.

IV. Purpose of processing personal data

Personal data and other information mentioned above may be processed by Amnesty International for the purpose of further communication with data subject. AI will communicate on the following matters via e-mail, telephone, postal mail or text message:

- information about AI activities in the Czech Republic and other countries

- communication regarding donations and updated contact details, etc.

- newsletters designed to provide information about regular urgent calls and appropriate opportunities for advocates and supporter to get involvement

- requests for an assistance and support of AI – activists and volunteers from local groups, and financial support.

V. Consent to processing of personal data

Under this Policy, consent to process personal information is provided upon first contact with AI under Article IV of this Policy.

VI. Time of consent

Advocates and supporters of Amnesty International grants consent to the processing of personal data for an indefinite period, until the supporter or advocate recalls his or her consent. Consent to process personal data is voluntary. Individuals are entitled to withdraw their consent at any time via standard channels of communication. Upon withdrawing consent, Amnesty International will ensure that all data from the individual is removed from the database and is no longer processed. Data relating to donations provided by AI will not be deleted before withdrawing consent.

VII. Information about the access to your personal data

At any time, the advocates and supporters of Amnesty International have the right to ask about the process of his or her personal information from the moment that became part of the AI ČR database. In such case, Amnesty International will provide information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Data (ZOOU).

VIII. Use of Amnesty International site visitors information

The Amnesty International website may contain links to various websites, especially on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, etc. These links are not part of the AI's website, these are third-party websites that may use cookies that track the activity of the data subject on the Internet. Third-party cookies are governed by the privacy policies of these third parties. Your browser settings may be able to block most third-party cookies.

The Amnesty International website may collect technical data about the subject's request to obtain content from the server within the IP address range, request time, browser type, and the operating system.

Any content on Amnesty International's website that derives from domain-accessible content are owned by Amnesty International Czech Republic, z.s.
